Winter Park
Orlando’s quaint suburban city of Winter Park is a favored community to reside in and visit. Every weekend, Park Avenue hosts a farmers market as well as various events yearly. The Amtrak station, as well as the new Sun Rail station, has a stop in Winter Park as well, enabling options in commuting.
Windermere
Windermere is a beautifully landscaped town that has its own town manager and city counsel form of government, as well as its own police department. Founded in 1889, Windermere still maintains an old time elegance and southern charm. With gorgeous and exquisite and luxurious large homes, Windermere consists of the most prestigious and sought after neighborhoods, including Isleworth, Keene’s Pointe and Lake Butler Sound. With many families choosing to raise their children in Windermere, this lovely town draws the attention of youthful and growing families. Occupying 1.57 square miles, on an isthmus between several lakes, Windermere isn’t large in circumference, but makes up for it in historic appeal.
Dr. Phillips
Dr. Phillips is a suburb situated on 4.8 miles of land, located in southwest Orlando. This area is named after Dr. Phillip Phillips, an orange magnate who owned thousands of acres of citrus grooves throughout the Central Florida area. Dr. Phillips also hosts what is known as “Restaurant Row”, with many dining options that are both upper scale fine dining, to fast food and everything in between. With its central and accessible location between Butler and Sand Lake Chain of Lakes, it is situated close to Interstate 4, and close to the many theme park attractions, shopping malls, and restaurants.
Lake Mary
Lake Mary, known as the “City of Lakes,” is one of the fastest growing areas in Central Florida, with a dedication to ensuring and maintaining a safe and friendly community. Found in Lake Mary are wonderful schools that draw the desire of families, safe and well planned residential communities, restaurants, businesses and shopping. The crime rate in Lake Mary is among the lowest in all of Florida. Upscale golf course communities and retirement living facilities also bring in a crowd of retirees who enjoy beautiful landscapes and quiet, safe communities to enjoy life. With its roots as being predominantly a citrus-based agricultural community, Lake Mary has developed into a more residential living community in the Central Florida area.
Kissimmee
Kissimmee is located in Osceola County in Central Florida, on 17.32 square miles. It has a very charming downtown area, comprised of only three streets, Main Street, Broadway Street and Emmett Street. Hosting restaurants, shops and historic residences, downtown Kissimmee cannot help but remind you of the way old Florida used to be as settlers began to make their home here. The Loop is a busy large outdoor shopping area that has many clothing shops to restaurants to entertainment and beyond. Also, Kissimmee is home to Celebration Florida Hospital, one of the top rated Hospitals in the country. Though this is a primarily residential area, Kissimmee hosts many hotels and resorts, as it is located very close to Walt Disney World’s Theme Parks.
Celebration
Celebration is a unique and aesthetically appealing community, envisioned and dreamed up by Walt Disney. Charming and welcoming homes line the different areas of Celebrations “villages”, which promote outdoor community living, where children can safely play. Being established in the 1990’s, Celebration is a much newer residential development to Central Florida. The town center area is known for their decorations and events around Christmas time, their restaurants and shops, as well as events such as Farmers Markets every weekend. With education, health-care, miles of nature trails that weave throughout the different residential areas or villages, combined with offices and businesses, all being closely situated to Walt Disney World, Celebration has become a hot spot for families to reside.
